Sally was a student of Marcel Grandjany from age 7 through graduation from The Juilliard School of Music. She performed with numerous musical groups in and around New York City during her student years, including a performance as soloist with the New York Philharmonic at the age of 15.

Before moving to Connecticut Sally was a busy freelancer and teacher in Montreal, performing frequently as soloist with chamber music groups and for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Radio Quebec.

In Connecticut Sally has been active in many professional capacities as a classical musician. She has been Visiting Teacher of Harp at Wesleyan University since 1983 and has a busy teaching studio in Old Saybrook. She is in demand as a workshop presenter at harp congresses and conventions.

Three books of Sally's harp arrangements have been published by the publishing arm of Melody's Music, and her harp arrangements have been published in several journals.

Since 1998, Sally has focused her musical talents on the ancient harp traditions of Ireland and Scotland. In addition to a Gaelic harp duo, she plays regularly with the Scottish group, Island Road.

Sally's daughter, Julie, is the Associate Principal Flute in the Toronto Symphony and her son, Rick, holds the seat of Associate Principal Bassoon in the Boston Symphony.

During the summer months, when she is not teaching or performing, Sally and her husband, Paul, can be found sailing a 27' Cape Dory out of Stonington, Connecticut.
